We are currently working to develop what courses/information should be covered in Level 1 of the Advisor Certification. Level 1 theoretically would be the core competencies for every advisor. Information such as Title IX, FERPA, Registration, Intro to Advising Theory and Academic Regulations would be covered in this Level. We are currently waiting to hear from UF HR on a timeline to add our Level 1 courses to their management system. At our meeting in February 2016, they had projected sometime in mid-Summer to begin this process.
